Visionary Leadership Work Samples
LCSS Students Hijack PD
For the first time ever, Lee County School System hosted a Student-Led Professional Development Day. In other words, groups of students came to school on their day off and shared the amazing things they have been doing in their classrooms with groups of teachers. There were over 30 sessions available for teachers to choose and every K-12 school was represented at the event. Many teachers left with new ideas of ways they could implement these strategies in their own classrooms.

LCSS Instructional Technology Professional Development Micro-Credentialing Program
The best example of Visionary Leadership is a project that I have been working on for several months and that is the LCSS Instructional Technology Professional Development Micro-Credentialing Program. In an effort to better equip teachers to generate authentic, engaging lessons, we hope to provide teachers with the particular skills they need to succeed by allowing them to choose areas of weakness and work towards those needed skills.
EdCamp LEE
In spring 2015, Lee County School System played host to its first-ever EdCamp LEE. Every teacher in the system participated in the "unconference" event, contributing to wonderful conversations and learning new things. Below are several blog posts leading up to the day. Based on the follow-up survey, 85% of participants were impressed with their EdCamp experience. They liked being about to make choices, getting feedback from other teachers, and having lots to choose from.
